Room WiFi is usually throttled. Lobby and office usually isn't, see if you can get on those.

Had this problem on the Amtrak train in SoCal last week. I guess they use 3g/4g or something so it made sense to be spotty. I could not get a speedtest to run so it had to be slowwww.
